Seconds before sunrise off the coast of Filey, North Yorkshire. After a very blustery few days, the weather abated and this trip to the end of Filey Brigg for dawn was well worth the effort. With the sun peeking out over the a low cloud on the horizon, lighting up the few clouds in the early morning sky, and reflected back onto the sea.
This image was captured at the tip of the peninsula. The end of either a precarious walk along the sea path, exposed by the low tide – and devilishly slippery, or a foolhardy steep scramble down the eroding land where Filey Brigg meets the sea.
